This is the darkest purple I have introduced. Can you see the branching
on the scape in the background? It has branches like arms, 4 of them on
each scape loaded with 33 blooms. This fragrant, 6" beauty has a
dramatic yellow and chartreuse throat. Joe Springer is a friend and
professor at Ryerson University. He volunteers every year at our
Special Open Gardens and loves dark flowers. He was very excited about
seeing this flower bloom. He had a great name for this plant, but I had
a better one. |
