Greetings for 2012
Welcome to the
Hayfield. We have been breeding daylilies for over 25 years, with vigor,
hardiness, bud count and, of course, beauty for the Canadian climate. We
guarantee all our hybrids and are happy to replace them if unsatisfactory.
The
spring of 2011 was cold and wet and July was unbearably hot. The plants
loved it. Summer Elegance had 35 blooms on a scape and Ontario Sunrise
had over 40!
On March 1, 2012 Canada Post will have introduced
two daylily stamps; one is the orange species one sees roadside, and
the other is our own “Louis Lorrain”. We will be using these with pride.
Please plan on visiting us either during our DAYLILY
FESTIVAL during peak bloom, July 27, 28 & 29th, or throughout the
season to see the tremendous bloom in our four acre park-like setting.
